DHENKANAL: Dhenkanal Town police on Sunday arrested two miscreants who had looted a cash bag from a salesman near Kantanali petrol pump and a gold chain from a woman in Sankarpur village. The duo have been identified as Mitu Moharana of Kendrapara and Dhanjaya Das of Jajpur.
Additional SP Anil Kumar Das said after looting the cash from the salesman, four motorcycle-borne miscreants reached Sankarpur village where they snatched the gold chain from the woman who was working in a farm field.
Locals managed to capture the two miscreants while two others managed to flee with the looted cash. Later, the villagers beat up the captured miscreants. Police rushed to the spot and arrested the two miscreants.
