JAGATSINGHPUR: A group of agitating lawyers on Monday allegedly ransacked the Kujang tehsil office demanding action against the Additional Tehsildar for misbehaving a lawyer.
Sources said a tussle was broke out between employees of Kujang tehsil and lawyers for charging exorbitant prices by the former for issue of affidavits. Later, Additional Tehsildar Bipin Jena attacked a lawyer Alok Samantray over the issue. Soon after, lawyers ransacked the tehsil office.
They alleged that though affidavit price has been fixed, tehsil officials are demanding more money from the people. A case has been registered at Kujang police station. Tirtol SDPO Kishore Kumar Dangyat said, “We have called a meeting of both the parties on Tuesday to resolve the issue,” he added.
