Students Walk Down 7 km Over Poor Quality Food in Odisha

KORAPUT: Students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Koraput walked down to the office of the District Collector here on Tuesday, covering 7 km, and complained that they were being provided with substandard food in their hostel.

They staged a ‘dharna’ in front of the District Collector’s Office. The students said that they were being served with stale rice and ‘dal’ for the last one year.

The District Collector assured the students to look into the matter and directed Sub-collector Mohamad Azfar to conduct an inquiry.

Principal Lingraj Prasad Patnaik said the hostel is being  managed as per the sanctioned funds ensuring proper  quality of food.
