Dharmendra Reviews PM's Kisaan Meet Preparations

BARGARH :Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday inspected the venue for Kisaan Sammelan to be held here on February 21 and reviewed the arrangements for the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the district.

Local and State-level BJP leaders, including State party president Basant Panda and national secretary Suresh Pujari, are also camping at Bargarh. Pradhan reviewed the preparations. Collector Anjan Kumar Manik and Superintendent of Police Ashis Singh were present. Later, Pradhan was taken in a motorcycle rally to a Kalyan Mandap here where he addressed a workers’ meet. On the occasion, more than 600 people, including working president of Sonepur District Congress Committee (DCC) Raghubir Panigrahi and Sonepur Mahila Congress leader Gayatri Panigrahi, joined the BJP.

Pradhan said the main objective of visit of the Prime Minister is to apprise the farmers about the welfare measures taken up by the Centre. He attributed the popularity of Modi to good and clean governance and his concern for farmers and youths.
