BHUBANESWAR: A joint maritime security exercise would be held along Odisha coast on February 24.
Preparations for the joint exercise were discussed at a high level meeting presided by Principal Secretary in the Home Department Asit Kumar Tripathy at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
Marine security exercises are conducted along the Odisha coast twice a year in which Indian Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Police and various departments of the State Government participate. Stating that last year’s exercise was very successful, Tripathy told mediapersons that the meeting was held to discuss how to conduct the first exercise of the year in a realistic manner.
