MALKANGIRI: With construction of controversial multi-crore Polavaram Dam project on in Andhra Pradesh, the Congress has again raised the issue of neglect by the State Government.
During his visit to Motu in Malkangiri district on Friday, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Prasad Harichandan assured that he will stand by the people of the district. The agitation to protect the interest of the people will be intensified, he added.
Harichandan alleged that the BJD Government and its leaders lack clarity on the project.
The State Government is yet to make a survey in Motu to find out details like how many villages, forest land and people would be affected if the controversial project comes up. He also interacted with the villagers.
