Plus III Exam from Feb 22

BHUBANESWAR: The Plus Three examination of colleges affiliated to Utkal University, North Odisha University (NOU) and Fakir Mohan (FM) University will begin from Monday. In Berhampur University, the examination was started on February 16.

With the teachers of 662 category threatening to boycott the examination if their demands are not met by February 25, the Higher Education Department has asked the universities to make special provisions for smooth conduct of the test.

Of the total 345 examination centres under Utkal University, 109 fall under 662 category colleges across nine districts of the State. Similarly, of 70 examination centres under FM university, 61 fall under 662 category and the number is 58 of 70 in case of NOU. The Department depends on teachers of Government colleges and 662 category colleges for conducting Plus Three examination and evaluation of answer sheets.

Authorities concerned have been asked to appoint a centre superintendent for each centre and one invigilator for every 20 students. This apart, one office assistant and one Group-D employee shall be deployed for each examination centre.

Last week, the All Odisha 662 (+2 and +3) Non-Government Lecturers’ and Employees’ Association had announced not to cooperate with the State Government in conducting the Plus Three examination by wearing black badges. They are demanding abolition of block grant and introduction of a grant-in-aid policy.
