Odisha Government Effects Major IPS Reshuffle Among Top Officials

Satyajit Mohanty, additional director general of police (ADGP), headquarters has been given additional charge of ADGP, law and order.

BHUBANESWAR: The state government today effected a major reshuffle among the top IPS officials.  

As per a notification issued by the home department, Satyajit Mohanty, additional director general of police (ADGP), headquarters has been given additional charge of ADGP, law and order. ADGP, law and order, Binyananda Jha has been transferred as ADGP, Communication.  

Chairman-cum-managing director of Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation (OSPH&WC) Manoj Kumar Chhabra has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) in place of SK Upadhyaya. Upadhyaya has been posted to Chhabra's post. 

AK Ray, ADGP, State Armed Police (SAP) has posted as ADGP, Prisons. B Radhika, director of the State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB) will be in additional charge of ADGP, SAP. Sudhansu Sarangi, on return from central deputation is posted as chairman-cum-managing director of Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC).  

There has been a reshuffle at the superintendent of police (SP) level. N Bhol, SP, Ganjam has been transferred and posted as DIG, Vigilance after promotion. AN Sinha, SP, Vigilance, Cuttack has also been posted as DIG, Vigilance after promotion.  

Avinash Kumar, Commandant of the 5th battalion of the Odisha State Armed Police (OSAP), Baripada has been posted as SP, State Task Force (STF) of the Crime Branch.
