BARGARH :Former headmaster of Government Girls’ High School Suresh Bhoi and a lady teacher Bhagyalaxmi Hota were suspended after a student failed to appear for the High School Certificate examination due to their negligence. Dipsarani Pradhan could not appear for her Matriculation which began on Monday as she did not receive her admit card. Her mother Sabita Pradhan lodged a complaint with Bargarh Town Police against school authorities and class teacher alleging negligence.
Although Dipsarani had filled up the mandatory application form for the examination, she did not receive the admit card. Sabita alleged that the teachers forced them to remain silent even after they were informed about not receiving the admit card.
Another student of the school Sashmita Patel also could not appear for her matriculation over similar reasons.
After learning about the incident, District Education Officer suspended the former headmaster, under whose tenure the application forms were sent to the Board of Secondary Education, and the teacher.
