HSC Exam: Centre Superintendent Suspended

BALASORE: The superintendent of a HSC examination centre in Basudevpur block of Bhadrak district was suspended on Wednesday following allegation of dereliction of duty.

Headmaster of Gudusuan Julia High School Ramakanta Sahu has been suspended for allowing five fake examinees to attend the examination.

The examinees, all girls of Bhedasahajaga High School in Balimeda, were appearing the examination in Gudusuan school in the knowledge of Sahu. The irregularity came to the fore when one of the fake examinees was caught while trying to flee after getting a tip-off about the visit of flying squad. While she was released after verification, four others managed to escape.

Bhadrak DEO Ranjan Kumar Giri said action will be taken against the authorities of Balimeda school. The examinees will also be booked, he added.
