Sahitya Bharati for Litterateur Pratibha

CUTTACK: Eminent litterateur Pratibha Ray will be conferred with the prestigious Sahitya Bharati Samman this year.

The top literary award instituted by Gangadhar Rath Foundation will be presented to her at a function to be held at Kala Vikash Kendra here on March 13. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and a memento featuring Sun Temple Konark in silver filigree work.

The Gangadhar Rath Smaraki Samman will be presented to linguist Debi Prasanna Patnaik.

Sahitya.jpgThe Bhanuji Rao Smaraki Puraskar and Dr Binapani Mohanty Katha Sahitya Puraskar carrying cash prize of Rs 25,000 and mementos each will be awarded to poet and translator Sangram Jena and writer Jasodhara Mishra respectively.

Young litterateur and essayist Gobind Chandra Chand and translator Chandan Das will be presented with Subrat Rath Smaraki Puraskar, which carries Rs 10,000 cash prize and mementos for each, Foundation Trustee Dr Jayant Rath announced.
