Vigilance Raid on Constable for Amassing Rs 95 Lakh

JHARSUGUDA: Vigilance sleuths on Friday swooped down on the property of constable Jagadananda Patel and detected assets worth Rs 95,87,210 disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The Vigilance teams simultaneously searched his and his relatives’ houses in the district.

His house at Beheramal, office room at Reserve Office, Jharsuguda and office room of his wife Anjali Nayak at Badmal police station were searched. The house of his father Gunanidhi in Jhirlapali village under Laikera police limits and his father-in-law Parameswar Naik’s house at Balijori village were also raided.

During the search, the sleuths detected that he owned a three-storey building worth Rs 62,19,240 at Beheramal in Jharsuguda town, two MUVs estimated at Rs 12,50,000, an SUV worth Rs 5,50,000 and three two-wheelers valued at Rs 1,90,000.
