Srikant VC of State open varsity

BHUBANESWAR: Srikant Mohapatra has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Odisha State Open University, Sambalpur. A notification in this regard was issued by the Higher Education Department on Wednesday.

Last year, Mohapatra was appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) for the university. “Our focus is on reaching out to students from remote corners of the State and facilitate their learning at an affordable cost,” said Mohapatra, who had previously headed Regional Services Division from 2012-2015 at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). He was also the Regional Director for Odisha, Bihar and Gujarat.
