Another college website hacked, cyber cops to inquire

KENDRAPARA: THE website of Tulasi Women’s College in Kendrapara was hacked by Vietnam hacking team on Friday.

An FIR was lodged by College Principal Dr Haramani Behura at Kendrapara town police station. He stated that the hacking was first reported by the data operator on Friday morning. The hacking team had also left a warning message on the website.

Acting on the FIR, police filed a case. The Cyber Cell of police would investigate the incident, said IIC Sanjib Mohanty.

Meanwhile, all government and non- government institutions have been asked to strengthen their website password with high-security features.

As the district has no cyber police station, help of officials of Cyber Cell, Cuttack has been sought, he added.

It may be noted that in February, the website of Shree Shree Baya Baba College in Mahakalapada of Kendrapara district was hacked and anti-India slogan posted on the site.

The college website www.ssbcmkp.org.in was hacked and messages of ‘Indian Army killing innocent people in Kashmir’ and ‘Free Kashmir’ were posted by the hacker, who identified himself as ‘Mr NitrOg3n’.

In case of OUAT, its website was hacked by an engineering student. He had admitted to have hacked the website as part of his course on ethical hacking.
