Maoists stage blockade

BHAWANIPATNA: Maoists blocked the road connecting Musanal with Bhawanipatna by felling trees and put up a banner in the forest protesting the killing of their cadre Sangita in a police encounter. They also demanded that Operation Green Hunt be stopped.
The Maoists sought punishment for the local SP, SOG, DVO, CRPF jawans and police informers. They also urged people to join the People’s Liberation Guerilla Army (PLGA).
The Maoists had put up a poster near Matul reserve forest at Musanal of Lanjigarh block on Thursday demanding that the security forces should stop taking action against the protesters in Kashmir.
