One Japanese Encephalitis death in 48 hours at Malkangiri

The number of deaths due to Japanese Encephalitis is on the decline with one casualty reported during the last 48 hours.

MALKANGIRI: The number of deaths due to Japanese Encephalitis is on the decline with one casualty reported during the last 48 hours. With this the toll has touched 61. Only 21 children, including two in ICU are undergoing treatment in DHH, said sources in the district administration.

Meanwhile, the Central team has reportedly lauded the role of the district administration in tackling the JE menace in the district.

The preventive measures being carried out by the Government and local administration are on the right direction to check the spread of the disease, the team members reportedly said.
