BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday felicitated six-year-old Mamata, the girl from Bankual village of Rajnagar in Kendrapara district, who displayed exceptional courage and alertness to rescue her sister from crocodile attack on April 4.

The Chief Minister invited both the sisters to the State Secretariat, felicitated them and also took selfie with them. He enquired from the girls about incident and praised them for their courage. Both the sisters are studying in class two.

The Chief Minister advised them to carry on their studies and never stop going to school midway. He also directed the Collector to facilitate their studies. He gifted cycles to the sisters.
