MALKANGIRI/BERHAMPUR:Launching a scathing attack on Naveen Patnaik-led BJD Government  for its all-round failure to address the problems of the poor and tribal people of Malkangiri district, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram alleged that Naveen has no regard for Odia language. “If he had any regard for Odia, he could have learnt the language during his first tenure itself, but it’s been 17 years and he is yet to learn it,” Jual said.
Addressing a gathering on Sunday during a campaign for BJP candidate Kusa Tati, who is contesting from Zilla Parishad Zone-I of Mathili panchayat samiti at Pangam, Jual urged the voters to reject the BJD in the panchayat election.

People should teach the BJD a lesson by voting for the BJP candidates in the Zilla Parishad election for development at the grassroots, said former deputy speaker Prahallad Dora while speaking at the meeting. Star attraction and actor Pinki Pradhan urged the villagers to vote for the BJP and taste development.
Among others,  BJP general secretary Bhrugu Baxipatra, BJP district unit president Ashok Kumar Parida, State council members of the party Kamraj Kawasi and Babita Sahu were present. Unlike in the 2012 panchyat poll, the BJD is facing a tough challenge this time round from both the BJP and the Congress as a triangular fight is on the cards in all the 15 Zilla Parishad zones.
Jual also addressed a gathering at Jeerang under Rayagada block of Paralakhemundi district on Sunday. He came down heavily on the  BJD Government. Criticising the State Government for its failure on all fronts, Jual said the Government is neck deep in scams while it has failed to provide basic infrastructure to meet health, education and agricultural needs.

Among others, Baxipatra, district BJP president G Ravana and other leaders Dulu Mishra and Arun Patnaik were present along with the contesting candidates.
In Ganjam district, Jual addressed an election meeting at BDPur ground near Jagannathprasad block and called upon the people to vote for the BJP. Narrating the development schemes implemented by Modi Government, Jual alleged that Odisha Government is riddled with various scams and asked people to vote for change. Over 5,000 people attended the meeting. Police deployed three platoons of armed force under the supervision of Bhanjanagar SDPO Utkal Keshari Das.
