‘State hijacked Centre’s schemes’

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan slammed the State Government for hijacking Centre’s welfare programmes and wooing the people of Odisha with the schemes to garner votes.

JAGATSINGHPUR: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan slammed the State Government for hijacking Centre’s welfare programmes and wooing the people of Odisha with the schemes to garner votes.

Addressing a gathering at Balikuda on Wednesday, Pradhan said the Centre has allocated funds to all projects which have been hijacked by the State Government and appealed the villagers to vote in favour of BJP candidates in panchayat election. He criticised the BJD leaders for killing a BJP candidate in Dhenkanal.
BJP party leaders including Pradhan kicked off the campaign for the party by addressing block-level workers’, participating in a road show and motorcycle rally in different villages of Balikuda block. Local BJP leaders Raghunandan Das, Pratap Mishra and other party candidates were present.
Panchayat poll will be held in 3364 booths including 487 sensitive booths in 198 panchayats of this district.
