Conference on research for social benefits

 An interactive meeting on ‘Forging Science Research and Education Partnerships for Societal Benefits’ was organised here by the Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar. 

BHUBANESWAR: An interactive meeting on ‘Forging Science Research and Education Partnerships for Societal Benefits’ was organised here by the Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar. 


Heads and key researchers from prominent research organisations and universities of the State participated in the meeting. They deliberated on sharing research expertise and facilities among the institutions so that time bound, cutting edge and socially relevant projects and programmes could be developed and implemented through collaborative efforts. 


Given the enormous technical and scientific skills, capacity and infrastructure available with various research organisations in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, such collaboration will be of great importance in undertaking scientific research and education activities based on societal needs, said ILS Director Ajay Parida.


Vice Chancellors of Utkal University, Fakir Mohan University, Ravenshaw University, OUAT, KIIT and SOA University and directors of CIFA, RMRC, IIWT, IIT, AIIMS, IIMT, RPRC, NRRI and IOP along with scientists involved in Life Sciences research participated in the meeting
