BHUBANESWAR: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi, national president of BJP Amit Shah today congratulated party workers for the party's success in the first two phases of the onging panchayat elections.
"I thanked the BJP workers and congratulated the people of the state for the unprecedented success to the party in the panchayat elections in Odisha," Shah tweeted.
The BJP president is on a campaign trail in Uttar Pradesh for the thrid phase of election scheduled on February 19.
On Wednesday, the Prime Minister had acknowledged BJP's good showing in the panchayat polls at a public meeting at Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh.
