TALCHER: TWO students of Jaganath DAV School drowned in river Brahmani here at about 1 pm on Saturday. The deceased are Dibyanshu Sethy (17) and Saswat Pradhan (18), Class 11 students of the school. They belonged to Ananta Vihar Colony and were sons of MCL employees.

Suprasana Mallick, the IIC of Talcher police station, said three  students came to the river near Panschimeswar temple at  noon .  Two of them went to the river for having bath.  The third student, Subesh Pradhan, preferred to stay on the bank of the river.

“As they were bathing,  both the students drowned. Subesh raised an alarm and locals rescued the two, but by that time they were dead,’” Mallick added.
