BHUBANESWAR: A dummy run of the light and sound show at Sun Temple in Konark was held on Friday by the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC).While the project has been completed, the State Government will soon take a decision on opening the show for public.

As per directions of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), which is in charge of the conservation work at the World Heritage Site, the ITDC decided not to install speakers in the inner courtyard of the temple as it could damage the structure. Instead, it will provide headphones to visitors during booking of tickets.
The show will be held at the left portion of land adjacent to the main temple.
ITDC sources said it was decided to begin the light and sound show from June 5, but the process was delayed due to a virus attack in the art content programme of the show. "It took time to recreate the entire data," an official said.
