Work on much-awaited additional spillway at left dyke of Hirakud Dam in Sambalpur will begin after monsoon. The tender process for construction has already been completed. A 12-member team of World Bank, Central Water Commission (CWC) and Dam Safety Department had visited the Hirakud Dam site for the proposed spillway in April, 2015
