SIVAGANGA: “We will not draw swords to protect the Tamils but create a vote bank for the purpose,” leader of the Naam Thamizhar Movement and film director Seeman said here on Sunday.
Presiding over a consultation meeting of the movement, Seeman said that the capital of his party were the Tamils. The Dravidian parties which ruled the State for 42 years had pushed the people below appalling poverty line, forcing them to depend on one rupee per kilo of rice for their sustenance.
These parties had not introduced any programmes with a futuristic outlook.
Marudhu Pandiar brothers and Velu Natchiar fought the British not for the nation but to protect the Tamil soil. The Tamils should continue to uphold this tradition to fight for their right and to save their soil.
