CHENNAI: V K Sasikala, long-time aide of Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, returned to the latter’s Poes Garden residence on Monday evening after a gap of over three months.
Sasikala had issued a statement on March 28 disowning her family members and friends who had betrayed Jayalalithaa and expressed her willingness to be the true sister of the AIADMK leader for the rest of her life. Following this, Jayalalithaa re-admitted Sasikala into the party on March 31. However, Jayalalithaa made it clear that the expulsion of Sasikala’s relatives and others would not be reverted.
Sasikala and members of her family, including husband M Natarajan, were expelled from the AIADMK on December 19 last year.
