After a year-long investigation, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) recently filed the chargesheet in the ‘pipe bomb’ case.
The case related to the incident in which high intensity bombs were found planted along the convoy route of senior BJP leader L K Advani at Thirumangalam, near here, on October 27. Investigating officer M Karthikeyan, DSP (CB-CID South Range), filed the chargesheet before the Thirumangalam Judicial Magistrate court on November 27.
Karthikeyan told Express that they submitted all the details and criminal charges against all the six accused. The remaining accused were absconding.
