Principal District and Sessions Judge C S Murugan on Monday adjourned the hearing in the Sankararaman murder case to January 4, 2013.
The adjournment came after a petition by K Veeramani, CB-CID Deputy Superintendent of Police, informed the trial court that Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) N Devadoss could not attend the hearing as he was away in Australia on personal reasons.
The SPP was to have presented his reply to the arguments of the defence counsels for all the 24 accused in the case in which Kanchi Acharyas, Jayendra Saraswathi and Vijayendra Saraswati, were the prime accused.
