Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today said the vision of her government to ensure all-round development would come true if its policies are successfully implemented by District Collectors, whom she said should perform their duties "with devotion and sincerity."

In her opening remarks at the conference of District Collectors here, she said there should be growth coupled with distributive justice to ensure sustainable development.

"This aspect, if given due focus in the sectors of agriculture, industry and services and when propelled by a sound base in education, health and infrastructure will surely make Tamil Nadu the cynosure of all states of the country."

"I am sure that this vision will become a reality if the policies laid down by the Government are successfully implemented in the field," she said.

She said Collectors have been "vested" with the task of discharging this "important responsibility."

"I request you to take this responsibility seriously and perform your duties with devotion and sincerity," she urged the Collectors.
