One person was arrested for molesting a 4-year-old girl in Hosur industrial town, police said today.
The little girl, a resident of Mookondapalli in Hosur, was playing on the street near her house on Tuesday evening. After some time, the girl disappeared from the place. Meanwhile, a few passersby heard the girl raising an alarm near the Fire Service office in SIPCOT. They reportedly noticed a youth trying to molest her, police said.
Immediately, the people caught hold of the youth and beat him up before alerting the SIPCOT police. The police arrested the accused and took the girl to Hosur government hospital for treatment.
According to SIPCOT police, the accused, Sunil (22) from Lucknow, was working in an industrial unit in Hosur. He was roaming on streets when he saw the girl playing by the roadside. He kidnapped her from there and took her to a lonely place near the fire station in SIPCOT and tried to molest her.
