A 23-year old newly married Dalit woman was charred to death in an alleged accidential fire in her house near Sankari in the district, police said today.
The victim Rani and Palanivel of Karukkampalayam had married only three months ago. When she was cooking last night, her dress caught fire leading to severe burns.
She died at the governemnt hospital here without responding to treatment, police said. Sankari RDO held an inquiry since the death occurred three months within her marriage.
