Order yet to appear in gazette: Jayalalithaa to PM

In her letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Jayalalithaa also recalled that during the course of the proceedings in the Supreme Court on December 5, 2012, the counsels for all States, brought to the notice of the court that the final order of the Tribunal was yet to be notified by the Centre, despite a statutory mandate stipulated in the Inter State Water Disputes Act, 1956.

SC ordered the counsel for the Government of India to seek instructions as to when the final order would be notified.

In this connection, the Chief Minister also referred to her memorandum submitted to the Prime Minister in person at New Delhi on June 14, 2011 and the letter written by her to him on October 17, 2011, wherein she had requested him to order notification of the final order of the Tribunal and the constitution of the Cauvery Management Board soon.
