Talks on LPG Tanker stir Friday

The striking bulk LPG tanker operators have been invited for negotiations by officials of the oil majors, IOCL and BPCL, to sort out the pending issues, including fixation of distance covered by the tankers.

N R Karthick, secretary, Southern Region Bulk LPG Transport Owners Association, said, “We have been invited for talks to be held in Chennai on Friday”. He added that a delegation of 20

representatives of the association would participate in the negotiations.

The tanker operators resorted to indefinite strike from Thursday morning warning that they would not give up their agitation until their demand for settling the contentious issue of fixation of Round Trip Kilometre (RTKM) was resolved.
