The district police have resumed interrogation in the illegal granite cases after one month break by holding an inquiry with M Nagarajan, managing director of Olympus Granites Private Limited, that was partly owned by Durai Dayanidhi, son of Union Chemical Minister M K Alagiri on Monday.Nagarajan, son DMK big wig Sudam Mani, was grilled by Thankavel, DSP.
The interrogation that began at 11 am went on till late in the evening. Over 100 questions related to the illegal granite case were asked to him. Details regarding the transaction of the Olympus Granite from 2008 to 2012, amount of tax paid by the firm, role of partners like Nagarajan and Durai Dayanidhi and others in the company, bank details, granite mining and export quantity were collected by the cops from Nagarajan.
An official of the special team investigating the granite scam cases said the interrogation was conducted as per guidelines given by Madurai bench of Madras High Court. In anticipatory bail order, the court instructed those involved in the scam to cooperate with police investigation .
