CM lauds Centre for rollout

Even as opposition-ruled States are against the Direct Cash Transfer (DCT) scheme of the UPA, Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy, heading the AINRC government in the Union Territory, has thanked the Central government for choosing Puducherry as one of the districts for launching the Direct Cash Transfer (DCT) for 15 schemes.

Speaking at the DCT review meeting, he said it was a ‘good scheme’. “This is a proud occasion for Puducherry as the main purpose is to benefit the people,” he said. He assured full co-operation t in implementing the scheme. He asked banks and government departments to co-operate.
