DMK Man held for job racket

ADMK functionary has been arrested in Madurai in connection with a job racket.

Police said the accused Ochu Balu (42), the party’s local area secretary, had collected `22 lakh from three persons promising to secure government jobs for them but later defrauded them.

One of the victims  Veer-sekaran of Krishnapuram Colony lodged a complaint alleging that he had paid `10 lakh to Balu after the latter promised to get him a job.

Similarly, Balu had allegedly collected `8 lakh from one Subramani promising him a job in Anna University. He also took `4 lakh from another person Ariyamuthu to help him get a job as a driver with the Madurai Corporation.
