The body of an unidentified man, aged around 75 years, was found at the Vaniyambadi Old Bus Stand area in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Passersby informed the police about the dead body. Vaniyambadi town police arrived at the spot and sent the body to Vaniyambadi Government Hospital.
Police were rummaging the list of missing persons in police stations to find the deceased’s identity.
