Man hurt in bull race, dies

A person, who sustained serious injuries in a bull race event held here on Tuesday, succumbed at a hospital in Krishnagiri on Wednesday without responding to treatment.

The police have booked cases against 10 persons for conducting the event without obtaining permission.

A  bull race on the eve of Vaikunta Ekadasi  was held in Ittikkal Agaram village near here on Tuesday.

Around 50 to 70 bulls participated in the race. Suddenly one of the bulls entered the crowd, causing injury to around 20 persons. 

Nagaraj of Kopparakarai village near Royakottai and Prakash of Beerpalli, who suffered serious injuries, were rushed to a Krishnagiri hospital on Tuesday night. However, Nagaraj died at the hospital on Wednesday without responding to treatment.
