CPI to campaign for Food Security Bill

The Puducherry unit of the Communist Party of India (CPI) would launch a signature campaign in support of the implementation of the Food Security Bill and scrapping of Direct Cash Transfer Scheme.

Briefing newsmen here today, CPI state secretary R Vishwanathan said the party would organise a signature campaign on December 30 at 20 places in all the four regions of the Union Territory. Thereafter the party cadres would visit each household and collect signature and forward it to the Prime Minister, seeking action on this issue.
