As the removal of dummy fuel assemblies has been completed, the authorities were now carrying out preparatory works for the inspection of reactor pressure vessel, said Koodankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP) Site Director R S Sundar.
The Director told Express that the removal of dummy fuel assemblies was finished on Sunday.
“No we are doing the preparatory works for reactor pressure vessel inspection”.
The Croatian expert team was also involved in the preparatory works at the nuclear power plant.
After completing this, we would submit reports to Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) to seek its nod for loading the enriched uranium fuel in the reactor, Koodankulam Nuclear Power Plant site director Sundar added.
