With four centums, he wants to be a doctor

Sibichakravarthy, son of a teacher couple, secured the top state rank in Tamil subject. A student of Hindu Kalvi Nilayam, he now wants to study to become a doctor.

Sibi’s father Rangasamy is a teacher at the Erode Railway Colony Corporation School and his mother Chithra in Erode Veeerappanchathram Government School.

“I expected overall state rank. But, due to low marks in English, I got first rank in Tamil subject only,” he lamented.

He secured centums in Tamil, Maths, Science and Social Science, but could gather only 87 marks in English. “I suspect that the mark is too low in English though I wrote the exam very well. I plan to apply for re-totaling,” he said. He wants to study medicine and has aspirations to win a one-in-a-million award. Attributing his success to his teachers and parents, Sibi said, “My teachers strained much to help me to great success.” He won many prizes in oratorical and science expo contests.

He is also interested in tennis and reading books is his prime hobby. “I love Tamil much. That’s why I got the first rank in that subject. I eschew TV totally. In fact, there is no TV set at home. I fully focus on studies,” he added.
