DMDK leader Vijayakant on Friday said that the voters of Pudukottai Assembly constituency have honoured the party by giving 21.3 per cent of votes in the by-elections and by giving it the deposit amount.
Reacting to the result of Pudukottai by-election, Vijayakant, in a statement here said by polling 30,500 votes, the voters of Pudukottai had declared that it would be an ascending phase for the party in the coming days.
Meanwhile, New Justice Party leader AC Shanmugam has greeted AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa, for the victory of her party’s candidate in the by-election. All India Muvendar Munnetra Kazhagam president N Sethuraman said the victory of the AIADMK in Pudukottai by-election was due to the achievements of Jayalalithaa during the past one year.
