The police have arrested the son of a caretaker of a home for helpless children here on Thursday on charges of sexually harassing one of the inmates.
Police sources said that G Jani (27), was held after a 14-year-old girl of the home in Vasanthapuram near here complained of sexual harassment on May 1.
When the girl narrated about the harassment to her fellow inmates at the home, they informed the caretaker, George Gnanasekaran. However, it is said that the girl was threatened not to reveal the matter to any one. Sources said that the girl was found wandering at the bus terminus here on Thursday and told the cops that she was sexually abused by Jani.
