VELLORE: As many as 20 gelatine sticks, 66 detonators and 15 kg of gun powder were seized at Rathinagiri near Vellore, on Monday morning. One person was arrested in this regard.
Based on a tip-off, Rathinagiri police led by Inspector Pugal, conducted a raid at Nandhiyalam, when they found one Thirupathi (50), a worker at the nearby stone quarry hiding the explosives without valid documents. He was immediately arrested and the gelatine sticks, detonators and powder was seized from him. He was then produced before Arcot court, which ordered that he be remanded.
