According to sources, Ebinazar (42) of Saradha Nagar near Parvathipuram was working as an English teacher at the Government Middle School in Vijayapathi in Tirunelveli district. On Monday, Veni (38) of Therekalputhoor in Nagercoil, a Mathematics teacher at the Sanganapuram Government Middle school in Tirunelveli, was waiting at the Christopher bus stand in Nagercoil, when Ebinazar came there and misbehaved with her, police said.

Based on a complaint from Veni, Vadsery police registered a case against Ebinazar and arrested him.

Police sources said, Ebinazar and Veni, both natives of Kanyakumari, had worked together at the Sanganapuram Middle School a few years ago. Even then, it was alleged, Ebinazar used to harass Veni and following a complaint from her, he was transferred to the Vijayapathy Middle School.
