MADURAI: Hardwork and determination paid off for a girl, C Indhumathi, from rural Madurai, who saw her IAS aspirations take flight after she ranked 151 among the 910 candidates, who cleared the civil services (main) exam. In 2006, after graduation, Indumathi sat for an entrance test held by the Kallar Maha Sangam Trust and was selected to undergo training in New Delhi.
True to form, she cleared the civil services examinations in her second attempt.
