VELLORE: Digital banners that were displayed without permission on Tuesday at various locations in Arakkonam were removed by Arakkonam municipality officials. The digital banners were found causing a hindrance to the traffic between Jothinagar and SR Gate area.
Following this, a team led by Arakkonam Town Planning Officer Dayanidhi brought down the banners at various locations including the entrance of the Government offices, where traffic was affected.
The clearing operations began near the Arakkonam municipality office and continued at Tahshildar office, panchayat union office and at Tiruttani Road.
A team led by Arakkonam Town Police Inspector Ponnambalam offered protection for municipality employees while removing the banners.
