This was conveyed by Swami Chakrapani, national president of the organisation, who met the Arunagirinatha Desigar, 292nd pontiff of the mutt, and Nithayananda at the Madurai Aadheenam complex here on Monday. After meeting the duo, Chakrapani told reporters that the organisation was happy about the anointment of Nithyananda as the Junior Pontiff of the Mutt.
“Hindu Mahasabha extends its full support to Nithyananda” he added.
The Hindu Mahasabha and each of its members will support the efforts of Nithyananda all over India, he added. Asked about the cases pending against him, Chakrapani said those were all trivial matters.
“He will overcome all these things”. He said Nithyananda was not convicted in any case. The charges against him were not proved yet and cannot stop him from qualifying for the throne. On the resolution passed by several heads of Saivite mutts, the president of Hindu Mahasabha, said “We do not bother about the stand taken by other mutts.’’
