TIRUCHY: Two persons surrendered on Sunday at the Needamangalam court in Tiruvarur district on Monday in connection with the murder of a rowdy here.
On Sunday, the body of J Rajkumar alias Arockia Rajkumar (23) of Anandi Medu in Lalgudi was found at Melakalkandar Kottai near Ponmalai here. It is said, Rajkumar was studying in a private college in the locality and staying in the house of one of his relatives.
On Monday, Ilavarasan (25) and Sivasankaran (28) of Ponmalai surrendered before the JM. They confessed to the police that they murdered Rajkumar as he was involved in various offences, including conducting kangaroo courts. On the day of incident, he was inebriated and invited them for a duel, they confessed.
