ERODE: A heated argument between the father and first wife of a patient caused a flutter at at the Erode Government Hospital on Saturday.Sources said that 45-year-old Selvam of Thondikadu in Tiruchengode, a worker of a lorry workshop, was married to 40-year-old Krishnaveni of Kuthampalayam of Tirupur. The couple had two sons.
Krishnaveni alleged that her in-laws tried to cremate Selvam, though he was alive, with an intention to sell his house, which was worth Rs 25 lakh. Only after she protested and threatened to lodge a complaint, they brought him to the GH.
Selvam’s father Nallathambi, who denied Krishnaveni’s charges, said that due to some differences of opinion with his son, she was living separately with her sons in Tirupur for the past four years.
Though Selvam tried to convince her, she did not return home.
Around five months ago Selvam got married to another woman Jothi.
